Cameron Project – Huge Engineered Cedar Deck
The existing deck was too narrow along the house and in terrible shape. We started by reinforcing the footings and columns supporting the house and worked up and out, extending the deck and upgrading all of the framing. Micropiles were drilled into the ground 20-30′ and then concrete grade beams poured around the existing footings and the new micro-pile soil anchors. There was an existing gate in rough condition and lots of rot in the fascia and roof framing behind it We rebuilt the gate, repaired and replaced the rot, and built a new extended entrance cover. We also did tongue-and groove cedar inside the skylight area to replace the stucco that was removed to repair the rot damage.
